An Immigration Medical Examination (IME) is a health assessment required by immigration authorities (such as Canada’s IRCC, Australia’s Department of Home Affairs, and New Zealand Immigration) to ensure applicants meet public health and safety standards before entering the country.
At Dr. Mishra’s Global MediCentre, IMEs are performed by authorized Panel Physicians following official guidelines.

You can book easily through our online appointment system or by calling our clinic directly.
  • Select your destination country (Canada, Australia, or New Zealand).
  • Choose your visa category and preferred date/time slot.
  • You’ll receive an email confirmation with a detailed checklist of required documents.

Please bring the following:

  • Original passport (mandatory for identification)
  • Appointment confirmation email
  • Vaccination records (especially for children)
  • Medical history or recent test reports (if applicable)
  • Prescription medicines you currently take
  • Spectacles/contact lenses (if you use them)

No, fasting is not required. You may eat and drink normally before your appointment.

The required tests vary by country and age group, but generally include:

  • Physical examination by the Panel Physician
  • Chest X-ray (not for children under 11 or pregnant women)
  • Blood and urine tests (usually for applicants aged 15 and above)
  • Vision and hearing screening
  • Vaccination review and updates if needed

Additional tests may be requested by immigration authorities based on age or medical history.

Yes. Families are encouraged to come together for convenience. Children can be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the examination.

Typically, the process takes 1.5 to 2 hours per applicant. This includes registration, examination, X-ray, and lab tests.

Reports are generally processed within 3–4 business days. Once complete, results are electronically submitted directly to the immigration authorities via the eMedical system. You’ll receive an acknowledgment slip or eMedical Information Sheet for your records.

No. We submit your reports directly to the respective immigration authority through the secure eMedical system. You do not need to upload or send them separately.

Pregnant applicants can complete the medical examination, but the chest X-ray may be postponed or performed with protective shielding after consultation. Our team will explain your options and guide you accordingly.

Yes. Our clinic is fully accessible, and we provide extra time, care, and support for senior citizens and individuals with special needs. Please inform us at the time of booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Yes. We review your vaccination history and can administer required vaccines on-site during your visit, as per immigration guidelines.

If IRCC or any other authority requests additional investigations, our team will contact you immediately to schedule the follow-up. We ensure the process is handled smoothly and promptly.
